NEW! Wellness Book Club (Virtual)

The Body Keeps the Score
9/17 - 11/19/26
Thursdays 8-9PM Central

The upcoming Wellness Book Club will read The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk and discuss the impacts of trauma on our bodies and brain. Each week, book club members will read and discuss a few chapters of the book, and then I will provide useful takeaways and applicable tools to use in your own life. Because I'm currently working towards securing a local office space, I would really appreciate a weekly monetary contribution, but it's not required. Book club is not therapy or counseling, and we are not establishing a therapeutic relationship. If you're interested in signing up, please use the form below.

Set Boundaries, Find Peace
9/23 - 11/11/26
Wednesdays 8-9PM Central

Because we're getting some interest in Virtual Wellness Book Club, I'm adding one more book for the fall - Set Boundaries, Find Peace by Nedra Glover Tawwab. If you want to join us to talk about boundary-setting and gain valuable tools along the way, please do so!

ABOUT ME

I'm so glad you're here! I'm Rachel Crawley, a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed to practice in the State of Texas (TX LPC License 66835). I am currently building a small private practice in Johnson County (i.e., Burleson, Joshua, Cleburne) conducting online counseling (teletherapy) and in-person sessions for adults residing in Texas who are considering how to best continue growing in how they think, feel, and behave. I spent 9 years providing chemical dependency counseling evaluations and services in Dallas for people involved in the criminal justice system, and I've been practicing as a mental health counselor on and off since 2010. I have written and taught psychoeducation courses such as life skills, alcohol and drug education, and anger management. I have experience using a variety of therapeutic approaches to explore client wellness and mental health goals, such as cognitive-behavioral, narrative, Gestalt, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed approaches, and others.

I am currently accepting new clients for both virtual and in-person sessions. While I work to establish a permanent location, I have temporary office locations in Cleburne, TX available to use. My practice is self-pay only (no insurance accepted, currently), and conducted via HIPAA-compliant, secure platforms. For those interested, the initial virtual introductory session is to determine if my approach fits your needs is free. If you decide to continue, we will move on to intake & assessment (the paperwork session), treatment planning (goal-setting), and individual sessions. Session frequency and scheduling is determined by your goals and availability. As I also currently have a full-time job, I offer after-hours time slots for our virtual sessions.

Unfortunately, because I am not affiliated with a team or hospital, I am not equipped to meet the needs of people who would benefit from detoxification; emergency medical, psychiatric, or safety stabilization; or those needing legal/court-related services (e.g., forensic assessments, court-ordered assessments or programming).

If you have questions about my practice or approach, I'm happy to connect!
